London Beach Volleyball Club (LBVC) formed during the summer of 2006, and affiliated with Volleyball England in July 2007. In 2008, the Club had over 60 members, an increase of 100% on the previous year. Numbers are expected to increase again during the 2009 season, as interest in beach volleyball in London continues to grow rapidly.

LBVC manages and provides coaching for community beach volleyball events in Shoreditch Park and at other temporary venues around London. The Club also provides information and support to anyone wishing to develop beach volleyball anywhere in London. 

LBVC is active during the summer beach volleyball season from around May through to September. The Club organises beach volleyball at a single beach court in Shoreditch Park, including regular weeknight open sessions for various skill levels, and usually some weekend sessions/events. We are currently working with the local council, hoping to build a 2nd court in Shoreditch Park as the rapid growth in active members was so significant last year sadly we had to turn away members from several sessions due to high demand. Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of the club are:

• to offer coaching and competitive opportunities in Beach Volleyball

• to promote Beach Volleyball within the local community

• to manage club use of the sand court in Shoreditch Park

• to ensure a duty of care to all members of the club

• to provide all its services in a way that is fair to everyone & promotes social inclusion

• to ensure that all present and future members receive fair and equal treatment
